Day Two – November 19th, 2017
Day Two was a Sea Day and when traveling with a young adult who will be at Vibe all day and night that can only mean one thing… Satellite Falls! So we packed a cooler with drinks and off we went to enjoy the peace and serenity. Unfortunately the wind was a little stiff that day so they didn’t run the actual water fall but the quiet was well worth it. The water in the falls was a bit cold anyway.
The weather this day was again amazing, sunny and warm, perfect for a day on deck.
After a little bit of time the First Officer came on and informed us that we were passing the island of Cuba. Pictures are below so you can see how close we were. It was interesting to think that after being off-limits for so long we could sail so close to this island which by all accounts has some real natural beauty. He also said it’s the largest island in the Caribbean a fact I was unaware of.
The rest of the day was spent sun bathing and enjoying the ride. We spoke to some other cruisers who were also really enjoying their time at the falls. Turns out their kids were younger and at the kids club. All parents deserve a little break I guess.
Later in the day after we had our fill of sun and fun we decided to get ready for the show. This night the show was Aladdin, one of my favorites. We’ve seen this show a few times but it’s always enjoyable especially when the Genie makes his appearance. We’ll leave it at that as to not send any spoilers out for those of you who haven’t seen it yet.
After the show it was off to dinner, it was formal night. It was fun to see everyone dressed up in the finest for a great meal. We live in Florida so we don’t see much dressing up here unless you call Bermuda shorts and a top dressing up.

Day Three – November 20th, 2017
On Day Three we pulled into Cozumel, Mexico. Again the weather was perfect and the scenery was too. For Cozumel we had a shore excursion planned. For this stop we choose the Fury Catamaran Sail, Snorkel and Beach party. We have done this a few times before and it’s always a great time. The catamaran picks you up at the dock right near the ship and off you go into the beautiful blue waters. The ride to the snorkeling location is smooth and a lot of fun. After making the run around our cruise ship the captain put up the mainsail and we were sailing. Nice and quietly we pushed through the water toward our diving spot. It was very relaxing. Once we were anchored we donned our snorkel gear and walked down the stairs into the water. Before our last cruise we purchased some full face masks which really make snorkeling a dream. The one we bought was the Seaview 180 snorkel mask by Wildhorn Outfitters which has a connector on top for a GoPro camera.
The snorkeling here was amazing and you could see all kinds of reef fish. The waves were a bit rough but the water was very clear. We highly recommend this excursion when you’re in Cozumel. You can book this one on-line or on the ship before you arrive.
After we returned we did a little shopping to close out our visit. Then it was back on the ship to rest a bit and get ready for dinner.
